I am a neuroscience drug discovery scientist with more than 15 years of experience spanning neurophysiology, neurodegenerative disease research, translational biology, and therapeutic development. Throughout my career, I have worked across academia, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical research, advancing programmes from target identification and validation through candidate nomination and early preclinical development.
In recent years, I have led target identification activities and multidisciplinary discovery programmes in neurodegenerative disease, working across biology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, and bioinformatics. I have extensive experience managing CROs and academic collaborations, with responsibilities spanning target validation, translational strategy, biomarker development, PK PD and receptor occupancy studies, and programme decision-making.
I am particularly experienced in translating complex scientific datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that support programme progression and investment decisions. My therapeutic expertise includes Alzheimers disease, Parkinsons disease, neuroinflammation, and related neurodegenerative disorders.
As an independent consultant, I would like to continue to support biotechnology companies, research organisations, and investors with discovery strategy, target assessment, translational planning, study design, scientific due diligence, CRO oversight, and programme leadership. I combine deep scientific expertise with a pragmatic, decision-focused approach to help teams de-risk programmes and accelerate progress.
