I am a scientist and biotech entrepreneur working at the intersection of structural biology, synthetic biology, and AI-driven drug discovery. I am driven equally by curiosity about how biological systems work and by a commitment to translating that understanding into real therapies for patients.Across my research career, I have contributed to several breakthroughs, including foundational discoveries in protein nanowires and the engineering of one of the largest synthetic genomes constructed to date. My work spans both fundamental and translational science, and I’ve built long-standing collaborations across academia and industry, including AstraZeneca, to develop automated directed evolution platforms that make protein engineering faster, more precise, and more scalable.Over the years I have also developed deep experience in venture capital and company building, learning firsthand how to take a scientific idea from bench to clinic.Beyond my own ventures, I organized Mushanghai, one of the first pop-up city events, where I built a strong intuition for curating communities and connecting founders, investors, and builders in ways that compound over time. Today, I am a co-founder of Yalotein, a Shanghai-based AI drug design company developing antibody therapeutics across autoimmune disease, oncology, and onco-immunology. Our mission is to use computational design to accelerate the discovery of next-generation antibody drugs and bring meaningful new treatments to patients.
